Sick Mule

So for the past year or so I have cut a corner when feeding my horses dinner.  We use a fast soaking beet pulp and alfalfa blend that the horses get with dinner.  I used to bring it in the house and soak it for the required 15 minutes in warm water, but last year I got in the habit of just dumping fresh water over the top right before I brought them in.  Poor Cecil is paying for my stupidity and laziness.

The vet came out last night and checked in again this morning, but I still have one very mopey mule.  I am sorry buddy, no more short cuts.

 I spent most of the night on a hammock in the barn with a heated blanket and a drink.
