A fresh clip

 Uno has been trying very hard for me this week.  We have been working on regulating his pace and keeping him quiet and calm.  I have only ridden in the hackamore this week as we spent the time hacking or jumping. 

Uno still finds it hard to relax back down to something calm after he gets excited.  He has come a LONG way in his flat work and we are now able to get a really soft canter and then go down and get relaxed trot work.

Jumping is a work in progress. We trot and canter fences until he gets fizzy, the go to walking poles until he will stay in the walk on a loose rein.  Then we go back to trotting and cantering fences.  Uno finds this INCREDIBLY difficult mentally.  After just 40 mins yesterday he was totally soaked.  

So I decided to clip him.  If he is that sweaty and tired after 40 mins of jump work, then he will suffer with that much hair at our show this weekend.
