Farm Updates....
We will go back to last summer and cover what we have done around the farm in pictures.
This spring we started with a barn that was functional but hard to keep clean and organized, especially once we added a boarder and third horse. We started with a tack room over-hall - I cleaned and made space for C's stuff.
The hubby and my BiL built sliding doors to cover the tack, feed room, and utility 'hall.'
Summer was hot and dry - so the horses spent a lot of time in the shade and under their fans.
Then we fully matted the aile and the utility hall.
Lew spent so much time destroying this wall, having the gaps is good for air flow, but after rebuilding the dividing wall twice and this front wall three times, I was over it. I made it solid so everything could be solidly screwed together.
Then this winter we had the final fence line cleared - we have no climb to finish this fencing section sometime this spring.
We also sold the carport and put up a new hay shed. It will hold more hay, not flood, and is only 20 feet from the barn.
We did empty the utility hall to make a doneky stall for the bad bad weather.
Lew was moved to this stall because ...
Uno needed to be separated from the others while they are in the reduced drylot - he beats the shit out of everyone, so he gets a 15x 30 run off his stall by himself.
We are resting and reseeding the jump field, so I pulled the jumps and have been repairing and painting them. I set up a dressage arena in our top field that we have been using. It is small, and not quite level, and still only grass - but it works for us.
